Stars and Stripes Forever

Like the eyes of God that drown the Earth,

in the years to follow the thought of man,

Or, the guilt felt forever thinking,

When Pandora gave us hate,

Einstein would call it his great mistake.

War was a disease and he’d helped it spread,

 But Dr. Frankenstein

J. Robert Oppenheimer,

 Birthed two sons,

Fueled the disease and so,

Truman could sleep easy,

Like the civilian that took his or her final breath,

Like the country who saw the eyes of death,

And it only took two males:

A little boy-

-And-

A fat man.

For victory-

As the history books would call it.

Growing

A Stubborn Goat

If sheep need to be led,

I want to be a leader.

If sheep sit on the glorious throne,

Then I’m the goat who bit the hand of the feeder.

Only the righteous inherit the kingdom

And enter into eternal life.

But what about the stubborn goats,

What’s good living with no friend in strife?

Goats can be destined for the actuality

Of eternal punishment of fire,

But what’s peaceful living,

Without one ounce of passionate desire?
