ISSUE 2 - RESILIENCE
Wish I could tell the difference between
The lives I’ve lived and the ones I’ve wanted.
In the dark room, my memories and dreams
Develop in the same pool of dark water.
I’m a self-immolating camera,
Burning his shots for another chance to
Trade the ashes at the drug store for a
New roll of film that won’t be spent so soon.
The truth is, there are only so many
People you can love, bodies you can catch,
Moments you can hold, then it all gets blurry.
Empty frames get filled if you’re not watching.
I thought you said that once—that is, back then—
If this conversation ever happened.
