There is a demon and goddess fighting inside of me. The goddess has more strength but the demon has more experience. 

I asked for help and they sent the goddess away 

“You’re a demon” they told me 

“So a demon you’ll stay.” 

 

But the goddess has always been within me 

She’s the light within my heart, the fire in my soul, the water rushing through my veins 

 

She’s the wind blowing against my skin, the air filling my lungs, the warmth of the Sun’s rays 

She is the stars I see at night, in the silhouettes of trees at dawn, the formations of clouds in the day 

 

She is inside me. She is fighting the demon. 

 

 

She is winning.
